I saw you guys 2 or 3 years ago (time lines are harder to remember the older I get!) at Eddie's Attic in Atlanta. The show was incredible and I really enjoyed it. I bought a CD at the show which I think was the actual show recording - just a burned CD with the band name written on it in marker. I still have that CD and consider it one of my favorites.
I'm a programmer and I listen to it frequently while working. I checked out the old website a few times (i9band) and it was down and I figured perhaps you packed it in. I was happy to hear that you're still kicking it.
I will say I was a little disappointed in the selection in iTunes (why so few?). The songs are all poppy with typical heavy keyboards, drum, etc. One of the things I like about that CD I have (and the show) is that the vocals are nicely complimented by the strings - it has a really nice sound - creates more powerful emotion.
So anyway, I was curious if you plan on releasing an album more similar to the one I have, or if you're going to venture down the pop route? I'm hoping that the pop route will just fund the real music
. For reference, here's what's on my current CD...
I'm Alive
On the SIde
Beckon
The Stone
Colored Blind
Ickis Wish
I think they're all great.
I see that you're coming back to Atlanta to play at Smith's. I (and the people who were with me at Eddies, as well as a few new ones) definitely plan on making it to the show.
Anyway, best of luck and thanks for the music I've enjoyed for years.
